The Tennessee Department of Revenue is currently seeking to fill its opening for a Revenue Audit Technician within the Audit Division's Knoxville, Tennessee office.
Ideal candidates will possess education equivalent to graduation from a standard high school and experience equivalent to four years of experience in one or a combination of the following: (1) tax auditing; (2) clerical or technical accounting or auditing, or (3) tax preparation, of which one year must be tax auditing, or technical-level accounting or auditing. Candidates should possess excellent customer service skills and the ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing. In addition the applicant should have practical experience with Microsoft Word and Excel. The successful candidate will have the ability to organize information and prioritize multiple tasks.
The Knoxville Revenue Audit Technician will be responsible for providing assistance and information to taxpayers and tax auditors to ensure compliance with state tax laws, rules and regulations.
