WHO IS AN ABAWD

The work requirements apply to able-bodied adults who: (a) are at least age 18 but not yet 50 years of age (once age 50, a person becomes exempt from ABAWD), and (b) do not have dependent children, and (c) are not otherwise exempt from work. Note: ABAWDs residing in a Labor Surplus area (LSA) or a county with 10% unemployment rate are not subject to the time limits as the county is exempt from this requirement. |
