The Tennessee portion of the Upper Clinch River Watershed is located in East Tennessee and includes parts of Anderson, Campbell, Claiborne, Hancock, Grainger, Hawkins and Union counties. It is approximately 1,944 square miles (709 square miles in Tennessee) and drains to the Tennessee River. There are 81 known rare plant and animal species in the Tennessee portion of the Upper Clinch River Watershed.
