Historical SignificancePickwick Landing was a riverboat stop dating from the 1840s. In the 1930s during the depression, the site was chosen for one of the Tennessee Valley Authority’s dams on the Tennessee River. What comprises the park today was once the living area for the TVA construction crews and their families. The TVA Village, better known as Pickwick Village was located where the Post Office, Park Office and day use area are now located. A Boy Scout Lodge was located where the old inn is located. The State of Tennessee purchased all 681 acres of Pickwick from TVA in 1969. Since that time additional land has been bought to enlarge the park.
Five meeting rooms are available for meetings or banquets. The conference center has over 6,000 sq. feet of space for large groups or the rooms can be broken down to accommodate from 30 to 500 people. All conference and meeting rooms are equipped with wireless internet access.
Our conference rooms can be tailored to fit a large variety of functions. Any catering function can be tailored to fit your meeting needs. The Park can provide: slide projector, TV, VCR and sound system equipment, overhead projector, flip chart stands, screen, telephone and a podium.
