Standards Revisions: Phase II

On Oct. 31, 2014, the State Board of Education approved several new and revised CTE courses for implementation during the 2015-16 school year. Current drafts of the course description documents (including course standards) for each new/revised course are listed below.

A comprehensive list of the Phase II changes can be found in the 2015-16 Comprehensive Course List. Additionally, the 2015-16 Programs of Study identify how each course fits within a progressive sequence of courses aligned with postsecondary and industry opportunities.

The CTE Division encourages all stakeholders to provide feedback on the draft course standards during the public comment period, which is open from Oct. 31, 2014 until Dec. 5, 2014. Feedback from the public comment period will be synthesized and incorporated in final revisions to the courses and standards in preparation for final reading at the January State Board of Education meeting. Please email all questions, comments, and other feedback related to the draft courses or standards to
