The state will pilot field test items for a Chemistry End of Course that becomes operational during school year 2013-2014. Chemistry SPIs that have been deleted or revised for the upcoming EOC are listed found below. A rationale for these changes is located below the revisions.

The science standards reflect an emphasis on STEM education through the integration of Embedded Standards for Inquiry, Technology and Engineering, and Mathematics.
K-8 standards were approved November 2007 by the State Board of Education for implementation during school year 2009-2010.
9-12 course standards were approved January 2008 for implementation during school year 2009-2010.
