Public Meeting Notice

The Tennessee Department of Correction hereby gives public notice of a meeting to be held Thursday, June 11, 2015 beginning at 1:00 p.m. regarding the Tennessee Council for Interstate Adult Offender Supervision. The meeting will be held in the 5th Floor Conference Room, Rachel Jackson Building, 320 Sixth Avenue North, Nashville, Tennessee.

    MEMPHIS - The Tennessee Department of Correction will hold a career fair on Wednesday, May 27th at the Obion County Public Library in Union City. Recruiters will be on hand to discuss exciting career opportunities within the Department of Correction at Northwest Correctional Complex in Tiptonville.  Correctional officer positions are available, as well as opportunities in a variety of other fields.     MOUNTAIN CITY - The Tennessee Department of Correction is partnering with the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development and Tri-Cities area businesses and organizations to hold a resource and information fair for offenders soon to be released. Over 20 organizations/agencies, including the Tennessee Department of Motor Vehicles, Tennessee College of Applied Technology, Goodwill Industries and Northeast State Technical Community College, will be on hand to provide information and assistance with job placement, education, health care and faith-based community support. ...More

    NASHVILLE - Death Row inmate Donald Strouth has passed away at the age of 56.  He was pronounced dead at 5:09pm on Wednesday, May 14th at a Nashville hospital.  Strouth died of natural causes. ...More
